If your really serious about sorting you will still have to sort by case volume even if they are all the same head stamp. I say buy it and don't worry about head stamp. Sort it by volume. Lake city match / lr is my favorite brass. Great stuff.
I just ordered 1000 lake city lr brass and now the seller has given me the option of sorting for a small fee. I'm going for long range precision, so I'll probably go ahead and pay it, just for peace of mind (if for nothing else) but are any dates more desirable than others or any anything else to know?

Agree with stomp. even if sorted (new - correct?), the differences in each case will not truly show up until all have been processed at least once (cleaned, trimmed, etc.). Do not waste your time or money. Fire each case once, then process accordingly. THEN you can weight sort them if you wish. Stomp makes a good point - exact volume is most important.

They are once fired
See above post and consider it as new to your gun as it will need to be fl sized to start with.

For my 223 I sorted by year and weight, which also led to small volume differences. No effect on POI so now its all mixed and shoots great. As mentioned you should FL size and trim as necessary. Now I just neck size with Lee collet.
I have to fl size anyway. Its a 7mm08. Consensus is I shouldn't waste the money?
Don't waste your time or money...until it is prepped for your rifle any sorting is simply a waste of time and $.
