No velocity with compressed loads. What are you trying to do?
Anybody done any load work-up on 55gr. 223 with IMR 4350 ? I understand it's not the best choice, just trying something different.

80% loads are the best generic starting point.

Just trying some with 223. Loaded 9, 25.0, 25.5, 26.0, none were very accurate. Loaded 25.0 with #41 CCI got .8 at 100yds.Originally Posted by steveinwv

They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
Think 26.0 4350 with magnum primer too much ?
never tried magnum small rifle. I just use CCI Small rifle primer.

You can't get enough 4350 into the case to cause a pressure problem.
My goto's with a 55 gr. bullet in the .223 are Varget and RL 15.
IMR 4350 in my opinion is much too bulky for such a small case.
Three 44s
steves pages say 25 to 26 gr

Now my favorite load for my 223 is IMR 4198 at 21.5gr bullets just off the lands. works well for me.
