I was wondering about that mount myself ???? ;-)
It's a UTG dovetail to picatiny adapter. Push out the pins, slide off the rear leaf sight and mount this on there.
FW, I zoomed (cntl +), doesn't look like Bills 1st version anyway, OP will tell us I have two of them someplace in the shop, had them on M44 scout setups. I know P Bill improved the second version but with popularity of Mosin it could be a different mfg and design totally.
Thanks, Interesting way to do it. I couldn't get the old mounts to hold a zero. Never tried the next version but this dovetail is pretty neat. Got a boy a Mosin, may help him scope it. A co called "rock solid" makes a receiver mt for Mosins and some slick customs too.
