Yep, you got it. I have the same rifle and stock with the bolt on the correct side!
Getting ready to order a Choate Tactical stock from EABCO for my 10 FCP-K
Question: That model 10 FCP-K would be considered a right hand,d/short action/detachable magazine/4.41 bolt spacing correct?......

Good choice I have the Choate tactical with adjustable comb and but plate on my fcp-k. What a great set up, A little heavy but I love it!!!
Retired sniper. You can run, But you will only die tired!!!
Ive read way too many good reviews on the stock to not want to go the way of a Choate Tactical. I think I can live with the heavier weight. Im not a hunter. I dont plan on carrying. Bench rest is the plan

I am really happy with mine I didn't get the adjustable, I just built a riser over the top of the stock and put a tactical works shell holder on it. I love the sling studs on the side. I don't really mind the extra weight on my 308. It beats the $800 for the Whidden that I like. I think mine is going to get a paint job this winter.
What will you paint it with ? I was thinking of painting mine as well. I want something durable.
I painted a "Savage Arms" logo on my Model 10 HS. Friend of mine made templates for me. I used Krylon. Seeing as how I work at a Ford dealership and have access to anything I need from there paint dept. The painter advised me to prep the stock with a a good "promoter" before applying the paint to make sure the paint adhears to the stock. The promoter I used was given to me. it doesnt take much. Ive accidently gotten degreasers/barrel cleaning solvents on the logo and it didnt do a damm thing to it.
I plan on painting the same logos on my Model FCP-K with a few changes. he still has the logos on file. Im also gonna paint the Savage Indian Head logo painted on it as well.

I used the actual logo from the savage site, burned it to a cd, took to a friend of mine who has the software/cutting machine to make a template for just about anything. I gave him the dimensions of the size of lettering and the size of the indian head.,the indian head logo was time consuming but it got done.

your welcome.....its almost endless...believe you me. my next project is im painting my new choate tactical stock before i install in my new 10fcp-k. I went to see my buddy who has the cutting machine and software. While there he was cutting the logos id asked for and my mind was just a running as far other ideas I have................its endless.
whats great is that there not stick on,s.........its painted and will last.
tommorrow Ill place the lettering/templates on to the stock. Spray the stock with a promoter for painting plastic,s/fiberglass etc.... from dupont, let it set, then paint

Not to hijack the thread, but what mags come with this stock?? I have the FLCP model and i thought this stock wouldn't fit the newer Savage's with the bolt release on the fwd. end of the trigger guard.
I have a 10 FCP HS that came with a 4rd factory magazine. That magazine also fits the the 10 FCP K. the mag release is at the frt of the mag well.
