Not bad at all I decided to permanently bed the recoil lug into the stock tonight. She's all set up to cure overnight now.
Are those both medalist stocks?

Yes - The camo one on my 223 is wearing pretty thin I have had it awhile. I may paint it again or my neighbor does dip jobs that look real good. I want to see if he can do solid colors and he is not too expensive, maybe cheaper than paint.
Savage 10 TR/LEO (.308): Accu-Stock/Trigger, 20" threaded bull barrel, AAC 51T Brake, Blackhawk Bipod, 4-12X40 Nikon Prostaff /w BDC, Hogue Sling, and some custom paint to finish it off. Best group I've got was .48" @ 100yds with 175gr SMK's. Time to get some Florida hogs!
All together...
Wearing the Sporter barrel as it shoots pretty good with all the ammo tried.

The guy I bought mine from is no longer making them. A few others have talked about it, but nothing concrete yet.
They're made from HK G3 mags thst are cut and welded to an Axis mag. Sounds like they take s lot of fine tuning to get them to feed right. Mine work great.
This thread needs more LRPV's!
Not quite a custom but a LRPV nonetheless!!
204 Ruger with Sightron SIII 6-24x50
Whoever said that Savage's can't shoot don't know sh*t !!
Savage 116 in 6-284. This one sports a 24" 8 twist 5R rifled Rock Creek threaded nutless and chambered with a custom designed and ground reamer throated specifically for the heavyweight VLD's. Thick lug, forgot who's. 100% titanium FP Speedlock (offered for a very short time by Tubb), 5/8" Stockade BH. Custom BAS. Worked three screw. All set into a McMillan Hunter's EDGE inlet for an aluminum Rem 700 TG. Scoped with a Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x36 in S&K ringmounts.
7# 3.3 ounces as pictured.
IMO the finest lightweight Savage ever built!
I'd post a target pic but I haven't fired it yet due to an industrial accident destroying my left cornea. I'll eventually get a cornea transplant and then it's off to the races.
This rifle was built for one purpose however and that wasn't to shoot tiny groups at the range (although it likely will). It was built, like all my builds, to put the first round from a cold barrel exactly where I intended to put it each and every time.

Ok, it's back from SSRNZ and its looking more like a Varmint Rifle and it handles so much better.
Started life as a Model 16 Weather Warrior with little pencil barrel that shot really well, but it was 14 Twist so I acquired this barrel off a forum member and waited until the bits came in for the Make Over.
I was having issues with the magazine and feeding, I have not fed rounds through it yet but the mag is slick now in comparison to the original.
Had the Timney trigger installed, Pillar and Glass Bedded the Boyds Featherweight, Raceway polished,The Bottom metal inletted,SSS Recoil lug and the Barrel threaded for the Greystone Can...
Hoping to nail some critters this weekend!
"Ghunta" wears Sightron 8-32*56 MOA2, Leupold MKIV Rings, Harris Swivelling Pod with Spikes, EGW 20MOA Mount,PTG Fluted Bolt Body,Atlas Worxs Bottom Metal, Southern Ordnance Bolt handle and Dark Eagle Knob...all sitting in the Boyds Featherweight Thumbhole in Textured Black Paint.
