I hate you got taken like that...to show you what kind of guy I am, I will give ya $250 for it so you don't have to feel so bad! =
A Local gun shop (Grices, in Clearfield, PA for those of you this neck of the woods) had some old stock, but brand new long action Savage Edges listed in their latest flier. By the time I could get over there, there was only one left. Out the door for under $249. It will go in my "future build" pile.
Ok, now you can all pile on about how you got even better deals somewhere else. That's ok with me!

Pretty good deal IMO. I paid $289.00 for my .223 Axis and thought I did pretty well. I would probably buy any caliber Axis/Edge at that price.
The only way I beat that price was with my employee discount. You did well.
I just wish they could have kept the "EDGE" name. It's so much better than "AXIS". What cartridge is it chambered for ?
25-06. I am sure that will eventually change before a single round goes through it.
Nothing wrong with the quarter bore for many purposes, but I already have one.
A name out of my past, forgotten until now. I would expect that it's nice living near them. I used to enjoy Grice ads in the Shotgun News or gun Lists.

Sorry, I knew it was borderline, I but considered it an information request and not a business proposal.
And not taken the wrong way - thus the smiley face.
Actually, I think you should handcuff and jail yourself for thievery!! You stole that rifle and you know it!! And now that you have admitted it in public….well, no one on this forum should ever speak to such a criminal such as you again. I'm reporting you to NP!! (That's not National Public Radio….it's Nancy Pelosi!!)
So, who will be the guardian of the forum? Perhaps, as I've proposed for years….the same one's who should be in charge of the world!! That's anyone named "Dave" Has a nice ring to it…..eh?
