replace it with one from an ink pen.
I clipped about 1 3/4 rounds off of my accutrigger main spring (the one you adjust with the tool) on my centerfire rifle and now the trigger blade wants to lock up. It doesn't do it every time but enough to be annoying. Since I cut the bottom loop off now it doesn't stick in the little hole so I can't put any tension back on it.
How do I fix my problem now?

Got the spring completely out and bent a new leg on the bottom, reinstalled and all seems good now. Not sure how I would use one from a pen, It wouldn't have the straight part for the accu-tool to grab hold of to adjust.

"...... It wouldn't have the straight part for the accu-tool to grab hold of to adjust."
That's why they invented pliers.

Don't get your Jockeys in a knot. Actually, I was quite serious. With a small pair of needle nose pliers it only takes a minute to straighten out about 3/32" or 1/8" of spring and bend it inwards. I replaced a AccuTrigger spring with one out of a childs toy.

No jockeys here all briefs ;D ;D All is good on my end, spring is fixed using 2 pliers and now problem is solved. Thanks to all who provided information for me. Probably could have figured it out just decided to ask instead of making another mistake.

Hope not to appear stupid but, why would you cut the spring in the first place??? Quick
to lighten the trigger pull.

Do you have a trigger gauge?, What does the trigger let go at now and how many pounds before you cut the spring?
No I do not have a trigger gauge.

Do you have any lead shot? I guess you could use anything for that matter, but you can make up a simple wire hanger with some type of a small container attached. Stand the rifle upright, hook the wire on the trigger then slowly pour whatever into the cup. When the trigger trips weigh all the stuff, the wire, the cup and the whatever. Repeat it a few times to make sure you getting a consistent weight.Originally Posted by sims5
Thats the way is was done before trigger pull gauges were invented. ;D
