If you really want a stock for your girlfriend, I would have to see a picture of her first. Sorry, I could not resist that.
Any clod can have the facts; having opinions is an art.
Lol what is she doing out of the kitchen??
Just kidding, were cutting 2" off one of the accustock that I have laying around for my 5'2" wife.
Just because she is short does not mean you need a smaller stock.
What determines proper stock length is the length of her upper arm and forearm.
Also remember that a lighter rifle generally has more felt recoil.
Cutting some length off the butt reduces the length of pull. Do it carefully so the cut is true, and then fit a grind-to-fit recoil pad like a Kick-Eeze or Decelerator.
Have you looked for youth stocks? That might work for you with no modification.
Pick up one of the youth model walnut stocks from numrich for $60 bucks. Its a nice smaller stock scaled proportionately and is pretty handy. The short action centerfeeds 4.4 spacing are the easiest to find.
