Whidden makes an aluminum Chassis that is a V Block for the Savage PTA. It requires inletting, but not as difficult as inletting for an action.
I am working on my second gun for long range bench rest using a PTA. Both have stocks sourced by SSS but I am inletting the current job for a Whidden V-Block myself.
Also, the PTA trigger is only good to about 6-8 oz, but there are smiths that can reliably tweak it to a consistent 6 oz.
The neat thing about a Savage is that it is possible to do it all yourself. I did break down and have a smith chamber my second barrel and it doesn't use a nut. I will be ordering another barrel soon and it too will be chambered with my reamer by a smith.
