Well sarg. it could be either depends on the age of the rifle,If it is a hog hunter I would guess center feed & 4.40
I am wanting to build a 20 VarTarg using a Model 11 223 action. I can get one for an acceptable price, but in my planning I have a couple of questions about this action.
What is the screw spacing? I have searched and found posts indicating both the 4.40" and 4.275" spacing. Which is correct?
Also is this a center feed or stagger feed?
Thanks for the help!

Awesome! It would be a new (from store) rifle. Thanks for the reply!
Yes they are 4.40" spaced with Centerfeed Mag.
The Hog Hunter model was introduced long after Savage had discontinued the 4.27" Stagger feed actions.
