Alright! You'll like it! Just got mine yesterday to go on my 6ai.
Let the bedding begin.
Have a 7mm-08 hunter that has been wearing a factory tupperwear stock. Always wanted a wood stock for it, not for any reason really, just wanted one. So I just ordered a Prairie Hunter, the rep says it should be here in about a week. Plan to install pillars and bed it.
Will post with pictures and a review when it arrives.

Really like my Prairie Hunter. One suggestion however. Before you go to all the effort to bed and install pillars I really would shoot it first.

Joe h, how is the check piece on the prairie hunter? I'm 6'1 with a big head and need about a 1/4 to 2/3 inch to get proper check weld. Do you think it is much higher than a stock 111 110 straight comb?
Pillars together with the bedding will make torquing the action more consistent. In a hunting rifle it might not matter much but if you are punching paper it will make a difference.
Thanks for the replies. Definitely going to do the pillar bedding, will post how it goes. May need to open the channel up a bit as well as I'm using a 26" CBI light varmint contour cur down to 24".
Man, thats a nice stock!
Reckon a Fluted sporter in .243 would be a nice carry rifle for here.... Very Nice...very very nice!!
