It is a standard Nikon Prostaff. I have the same scope that came with my 270 Trophy Hunter
New to the forum, hope to be around here quite a bit.
Just picked up a Savage 16 Hunter XP package chambered in .308 at my local shop.
The package included a Nikon scope, 3-9x40 BDC Reticle.
I'm curious if anyone knows if this is a standard Nikon scope (I guess it would be the Pro-Staff) or if it's a dumbed-down version to make an economical package deal for Savage?
Thanks all!

Thanks for the confirmation Topsail
hi Topsail, can you verify that this is indeed a prostaff, and how you know this? I have a prostaff, and also one of the package scopes, and although similar, I was not sure that they are the same. My prostaff seems a bit "sharper" than the package model. It also seems that they couldn't put a $160 retail scope on these and keep the price so low.
I just took it out and compared it to my son's Prostaff on his 308. I bought for him afew years ago. It indeed is a little different.
Mostly does not have the Nikon logo on the elevation cover or the Nikon Prostaff logo on the objective lens ring.
Other than that they are the same.
I suspect the glass is different in the package Nikons. The tube is probably the same as the prostaff's.
