Mainly because they are a little cheaper and they are just as accurate and clean up just as easy. From what I understand, Criterion is a sister company of Krieger specializing in cut rifled barrels. So you know its a quality barrel as well and not just some guy in his garage turning barrels.

Don't know if this is just a syntax thing but CBI barrels are button rifled while Krieger are cut rifled. Just clearing that up for the OP.
