Thanks for the estimate. Yeah, i have yet to see a nicer 30+ year old gun. The blue is 100%, the wood 98%. A lot of rifles I have saw with the open sights, the first thing you notice is worn blue off the top of the front sight, and the second is wear around the edges of the muzzle from going in and out of cases or sleeves. But this one has no wear at all. The only damage is a very light crack on the right side of the rear stock where it mates to the receiver. I am told this is very common on these 24s. the gentleman I bought it from was the original owner and he said he bought it to go on a "business hunt" with some fellows from his office at that time. I suppose kinda like a golf game among business men. Any way he said he fired 1/2 of box of 20ga., and 4 rounds of .222 over that weekend, came home cleaned 'er and give it a good coat of oil, and its been in his closet ever since. Kinda like the classic car owned by the little ol' lady that only just drive it to church on sunday. He even had the orignal boxes of shells and cartridges he bought with it. Sounds like by your estimate I got a hell of a deal.

Thanks of all of your help guys.
