Barrels and nuts will change no problem and im pretty sure bolt heads will to but recoil lugs are different the axis has a recoil lug built into the stock.
I'm kinda (very) Axis ignorant so I have a question. What are the major differences in the Axis and the Savage (Stevens) actions? I know the Axis has a crap trigger, same one used on the newer Stevens, and the ejection port is designed more like the Savage target actions but what else? Will barrels, nuts, recoil lugs, bolt components, etc interchange between the two? Etc., etc., etc.????

More accurately, the recoil slug is a "pop-out" that fits in a slot in the plastic bed. This is the feature I feel is the most unsafe about the axis, along with the basic 2 stage safety, I believe extra caution is needed to insure proper alignment and minimize action movement.
