Have you verified the twist rate?
Does anyone out there have any loads for a CBI 223 8 twist 25in bull barrel. I have tried 77gr Nosler and Berger, 80 gr Nosler and can't get them to group worth a ****. The only bullet that groups well is 55 gr Berger match. Any contributions will be greatly appreciated. The only reason I went to the 8 twist was to shoot the heavier bullets but I can't seem to do it.

The 80s would probably prefer a 7 twist to properly stabilize. Have you tried shooting them at 200 yards to see if they settle down?
I have verified the twist rate, the 80gr bullets check out well according to Bergers twist rate calculator.I have not tried them at 200 because they did so bad at 100. I know that some bullets shoot better at 200 because of the stabilization factor but they don't group at .750 at 100.
Bullet that shot the best for me in .223 with that twist rate was the 70gr Berger.
Try them at 200 before you give up on them. Its worked for me in the past. I had a .308 that would shoot about a 2" group at 100 with the 168 Bergers but would group 3/4" at 200.
