Is there a specific cartridge you are asking about - or are you looking for an all-inclusive refernce?
How long can you go for magazine feed from the various AXIS magazines?
What is the longest unfired cartridge that will eject?

Not sure if this will help or not but most Savage rifles are not nearly as long throated as say Remington rifles. It has been my experience that magazine length cartridges in a Savage will nearly always touch the lands and in many cases be too long ,requiring neck sized cartridges to have the final seating completed by fully closing the bolt. In this case the cartridge needs to be fired rather than ejected to avoid leaving a bullet jammed in the lands and powder spilling into the action. If the bolt will close on on a cartridge (and it's not jammed in the lands) then it should eject.
It's just another attribute Savage seems to have gotten right. These observations are just based on my experiences with quite a few different rifles and may not be true for all Savage rifles.
A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.
If it will fit in the magazine, it will eject.
