My 250-3000 will hold about 3/4" with 75 grain vmax.
What kind of accuracy can one expect from handloads in a 99 ?
I am talking, 100 yards 3 shot groups.
I am not sure if this falls in this area ?

I can't find the 99 in the current Savage lineup.
Do we have any insight into whether it might come back into production status?
I highly doubt it. they haven't been made for years. They are absolutely wonderful rifles though and can sometimes be found for sale online or at a pawn shop or lgs.
Ron Colburn himself said last week "the Savage 99 will never see production again".
As for accuracy, depends on what your using. A 99R in 300 Savage can group under an inch but an old 1899 1899A might only bring 2" or 3" groups with a peep.
Savage- "never say never".
What caliber? I had a 99 in .308 that would shoot clover leafs in three shot groups with hand loads. The trick to great accuracy with that one was to load 155gr bullets on the mild side.
I am loading for a co workers 300 savage (sorry, should have been more specific). It is a lever.
Thanks for the replies !
Should be able to get golf ball size groups easily with a 300 Savage.
