If it will shoot 308, then it should be able to shoot the the 7.62 x 51--at least that's the case with every AR 10 I've seen and used. I don't know about the Russian steel cased stuff, and I would definitely stay away from the lacquer-coated stuff, as it has inconsistent sizing issues and in my experience both have misfired about 1 in 50 rounds.

On the other hand, I've used Prvi Partizan NATO 5.56 ammo for years through my AR's and have found it to perform excellently, good clean brass and never had a misfire. It does have a lacquer sealed primer, but that is for mil-spec requirements I believe and has not cause any fouling problems in my AR's. I find it is more accurate than any bulk domestic stuff like Federal or Remington and is just a hair under A max. It also comes in nice plastic-sealed battle packs in quantity.
