Yup.
No matter what model it is.
As long as both rifles are the same shank size.
I was wondering if the new Axis rifles and their barrels are compatible with the 110-series. I own several 110s -right and left hand - and am on the lookout for another action and a couple more barrels/calibers to round out my hunting battery. I wondered if I can consider any Axis stuff I might come across.
Yup.
No matter what model it is.
As long as both rifles are the same shank size.
Barrels will interchange between an axis and a 110 style gun, but pretty much nothing else.
Hmm, so stevens barrels are not compatible with either axis and the 110/10/11/111? I thought they were...
The Stevens 200 is a 10/110 style rifle. In fact, as far as I know, except for differences in the finish, the receiver is identical.
There are two shank sizes, large and small.
As long as we are talking about small shank barrels, which most of them are, they are all interchangable between the Savage 10 and 110 and the variants thereof (except for large shank receivers), the Stevens 200 models, and the Savage Axis and Edge rifles.
Some of the other parts may interchange, but not all. It just depends.
I hope this clarifies and does not confuse.
Jeez, I gotta be more careful with my wording on these posts. The barrels interchange between 10,110,stevens, and axis. Many other parts such as lugs, triggers, bolt parts, and stocks will interchange between 10,110,and stevens but not the axis. The axis is the odd man out. There that's what I meant.
