Gun Shack can order the stuff. Obviously a magazine, but a bolt travel stop (I think Savage calls them buffers?) might be needed.
I am doing my first barrel swap I have a 110 22-250 that I am changing to a 223 I know I need a new bolt head and extractor where can I find a bolt head for the long action. What else do i need. I got an action wrench and nut wrench.
Thanks Handi204

A long action 223 bolt head is tough to find.
SSS sells the parts needed to make it work with a short action bolt head.

I don't see how. I long action bolt head won't even work in a short action bolt. The tail is long enough to keep the firing pin from reaching the primer. A short action bolt head in a long action bolt is dangerous. It allows too much firing pin protrusion which causes pierced primers.
Long and short bolt heads are different and are not interchangeable.
