Is this a new rifle,or used one? Sometimes crud gets in the fireing pin hole..Befor I tried and thing else,I would try spraying some carb cleaner into the fireing pin hole and flushing out any dirt or grease that may be in there....If it is dirty this will cause a slow fireing pin movement resulting in slow pin movement..I stillmay dent the primer,but with not enough force to make it fire....
