Welcome! You've come to the right place for information on all things Savage. ;D
Hello all, new to the forum and first post here. :) My first .22 was a Stevens 87T which I haven't read much about on this forum. It's got quite a few clones under different names, though. Luckily parts are still available over the 'net so I'm hoping to get the rifle to load without jamming. ::) It'll hopefully be much easier once the gun actually has all of it's parts. :D
I look forward to learning from and contributing to the forum. :)

A Stevens model 87 is the same thing as a Savage model 6 if your having problems finding parts.
Savage- "never say never".
Welcome to the site,
They are great guns! They came in many different models as you have noted. Some models that are the same are Wards Westernfield M87, Springfield 87A, Western Auto, JC Higgins Ranger 101.16, Sears, and many others
You many want to try Numrich they have the parts.

I'm a relative newcomer here also. The information I've gleaned from this forum and these people in just a few short weeks has been phenominal. The BS and "Flaming" is kept to a minimum here. If you have a question, post it. Someone out there knows.

What (if any) are the changes between the 87A and 87T?
