I would load 75 grain A-Max. I would start out with 32 grains of Varget and work up from there.
I'm delving into the new world of 9-twist 22-250. I'm familiar with the 50-55g 22 cal slugs, but the opportunity for heavier ones is intriguing. I'd appreciate any real-world experience anyone might share about favorite 9-twist loads.
Thanks!

I usually refer to Berger Bullets guide for bullet size and twist rate. http://www.bergerbullets.com/Product...20Bullets.html They show your 1-9 twist to be borderline for a 75gr. bullet, but I think I'd give it a try.

My 1-9 twist will eat 60GR Nosler BTto 75gr SMK.
70gr Berger VLD it loves.
75gr VLD is a bit long to stabilize but does ok.
Yeah, I like Bergers too, I was thinking the 64g FB varmint Berger, but 70g VLD, wow that would be fun!! what powder? and velocity are you getting? what are you shooting with it? what distance? OA length?
