I think they are .730 or so at muzzle.

Has anyone been shooting this one?
How does it shoot?
What is the barrel diameter at the muzzle so I can find out if I can thread it?
Thanks Justin

Thanks for the response. I hoped there was more people using this gun
I love mine. Shoots one hole groups with a variety of handloads. The longest I've shot it, so far, is 803 yards with the 105 A-Max, where I can hit a gallon jug with most shots if I can dope the wind right. Shoots about 4.5" at 600 yards with the same 105 grain loads. My pet load, however, is the 87 grain V-Max. I have yet to find a bullet that this gun won't shoot well with.

Thanks John.. that is a nice looking rig. If you get a chance can you measure the muzzle for me.
I now have one on the way... :)
Thanks.
Mine is .702 at the muzzle.
I think you're going to like it. I should mention that mine is fairly short in the throat. I don't have any trouble reaching the lands, even with some of the smaller bullets. At first, this had me a little concerned, but I've actually come to really like it.
John
Thanks for the info John. Do you care to share some of your 105 a-max and 87 grain load info? I will have to work around that of course to develop a load for my suppressor attached.
Justin
Justin,
Give me a bit to dig it up and I'll post it. For some reason, this thread dropped off the forum for me?
Off the top of my head, I know my pet 87 V-Max load is with 36.0 grains of H4895. I can also load with 36.0 grains of Varget and get the same accuracy and POI, but the H4895 is a touch higher in velocity. I'll look up my 105 loads. I know I've used both Varget and IMR4831, but I'll get you all the data in the next day or two.

Here is mine with My Thunderbeast arms suppressor on it. now to put glass on and start developing rounds.

My pal got his this week and yes its threaded also. Looks like the one that one above ^^^, but his has a scope on it.
Got her ready to do some shooting. now to work up a load.
Nice looking rig there, I built one before savage came out with one, mine is a 26" varmint barrel with aac cyclone suppressor I use for coyote hunting, I built my as a clip gun, easy for in and out of the truck all day between stands... Ive shot everything from 58gr vmax to 105 amaxs but love my 87 vmax loads, ill check my book for load specs.
Nice.. What twist is it? I plan shooting 87 vmax out of mine but want to try the 105 amax also. Some say they can shoot them out of the standard twist. Guess I will find out.
mine is the standard 9 3/4 twist or whatever, they will shoot the 105's just fine. I just settled for 87's because im shootin critters not paper.
