I hear ya, just stating my preference about weight, it doesnt matter to me much, but I can understand why it is important to you. Functionality and accuracy are what matter to me and my Savage delivers on that.

The fit and finish seem pretty good from the pictures, but I have to agree the recoil pad wasn't fit very well, judging by the look of it I would say its about 7-9 years old, Kevin has really improved his build quality since then, so I would assume his more modern stocks are a bit better. I asked him one what has changed over the years and he gave me a long list for pretty much all of his stocks, so it seems to me that Kevin actively seeks to improve his designs, according to him his PD/T stock has had many revisions on just the butt hook alone!

BTW, your rifle looks really good, can we get a picture of the inletting while you're at it?
