Ace - that's some pretty good accuracy from an econo-rifle. I hope to post some range results later today or tomorrow. I just spent 2 days modifying a new 25.06 Edge.
The trigger pull was rated for 2 hands until I shortened the spring a coil or two-
The stock was flex-o-matic until I stiffened it with alum. rods.
and so on.
As it sits right now, it feels nice & tight. Swapped the Bushnell package scope for my Bushnell elite and so on....
I really expect good stuff from it. In fact, I've been neglecting my '06's & .270 since I got the 25.06 edge.
I hope they're not mad at me for not paying attention to then........ :P
To the Original Poster of this thread - I say go for it. You won't regret spending a little cash for a lot of rifle. You'll have the opportunity to learn how to improve the accuracy & consistancy of it. It's kinda win/win if you want to shoot, modify, learn. improve, etc, etc.....
AND.... everything you need in the way of info, parts, tech support is right here at Savage Addiction Central
