looks just like the first Savage i ever owned. But mine was a 22-250. Still think it may have been the smoothest action I have owned, and shot VERY well for an old well used barrel. Been a very expensive journey ever since...LOL
Hi guys, I bought a 112v single shot today in 243. I love the stock and action. I will be selling the barrel soon and putting a 6br on it.. I will piller bed the stock and re-finish it.

I bought the same rifle in 22-250 in 1975. Put about 100 rounds through it. Had experienced benchrest shooters shoot it. Practically needed a mallet to open the bolt after firing. finally put it in the safe and left it. Going to get it out and get it repaired. Maybe it will be betterOriginally Posted by 12fv 308
