What is the real difference between a model 10 and model 11 Savage?

But really, is there any real difference?
Nope. Literally one has a 10 on it and the other has an 11. The actions are the same. Options available ie.. certain stocks and finishes might only be available on one or the other but I'm not even 100% on that.
The 10 has a monte carlo stock and the 11 has a strait stock. Thats on the package guns anyway. The diff. #'s are for model I.D. only.( ie 116 is a long action stainless ).
Thought the 10 had a heavy varmint barrel and oversize bolt knob.
There really is an excuse for everything!
That would be the 12.

Heavy barrel and large bolt handle comes on the 10's from the Law Enforcement line of rifles.
10's with regular barrels and bolt handles are in the Specialty and Package lines of rifles.
The actions are the same between 10 and 11.
