I just swapped my 22-250 barrel out for a 7-08. I have a Boyds stock and my Savage is a centerfeed model. My problem is the 7-08 rounds won't feed properly. The nose of the bullet makes contact w/ the receiver in the foward motion and causes the head of the case to dip just enough for the bolt to disengage contact and pass over. I never had an issue with the shorter 250 rounds. Anyone got any solutions? Thanks.
