I'm not new to Stevens/Savage rifles but new to the forum. I found this forum trying to find a solution to a safety issue I found with a new acquisition. My first Stevens was an old Stevens Favorite that in the 70s my dad had a machinist friend convert from 32 RF to 32 S&W long. IT worked well for groundhog control around the barns and taught me reloading as well. The Savage I owned the longest was a 110CL that that someone converted for military rifle competition. It had been altered to take BAR magazines and Redfield International sights installed.
