I'm Scott, recently retired (for the second time) and settled here in Western Washington. I've been shooting since I could keep both ends off the ground at the same time. Killed my first deer with a 1897 Winchester rolling-block single shot 22. As I grew, so did the guns (Dad was a serious collector). I've inherited what's left of his collection; joined this forum to discuss the older Savages. I have 14, from some 1899s with 5-digit serial numbers, to 99s, with the newest being a Model 27 Sporter in 22 LR. I have other makes and calibers, all HUNTING rifles, no assault types... unless you consider the RAR Grizzly in 50 BMG.

Long term, I'm supposed to sell (most of) the collection.
