I installed a new 6.5-284 Shilen SM on a 110 action and I’m about ready to start break-in. Before shooting the rifle I’m in the process of cleaning the barrel. I wanted to make sure nothing was left in the barrel from the chambering process. I’m getting a little blue on my patch which is an indication of copper. Where did the copper come from? Is this normal? I’m sure it’s not a big deal just curious. I’m using Bore Tech Eliminator solvent.
Edit: Think I may have my answer...may coming from the Dewey Jag.
