Was starting the process to load some Hornady brass for the SIL's 308. Got time to prime and they wouldn't go in the pocket, not even start! OK,what's going here(head scratch). Measured the ID of the pocket and it showed .203-.204 range with the OD of a LR primer at .210-.211. No wonder they wouldn't seat. Ended up using Win and FC brass with no issues. This was once fired Hornady Black ammo. I don't know whose primers they use but they had to be undersized. Been loading for over 30 yrs and never had this problem, except when they switched from large to small primers in 45 ACP. That one I figured out but it brought the Dillon to a screeching halt! Anyone else have this with Hornady brass?
