I jumped on the sale at Cabelas and picked up my 6.5 creedmoor last week. I checked it over in the store and it looked good but I left my little flashlight in the car and I didn't get a good look at the muzzle until I got home. I have the same gun in 22-250 and the crown looks perfect. This one looks like it wasn't chamfered and the bore is oblong.
The shiny spot at 11 o'clock in the middle picture is where it's oblong.
I'm thinking it won't shoot very well like this. I don't want to mount a scope and waste ammo if its hopeless.
Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks
Dan
