I made it to the range today after swapping my my 308 barrel with a new Criterion 223 Wylde 1-8, 26" varmint. My action is a 112 ceracoate gray and bedded in a Mcmillan stock. I followed the barrel break in instructions from Criterion, which is very tedious, and not sure if it is really necessary, but hard to argue with the results so far. The first 5 shot group I fired at 200 yards was a winner, I have good experience with their barrels on my Garrands, so I was not hesitant to try the Savage. I know...I missed the bull, and too bad for the flyer of it would have been a good group.
