I just found SS during my research to build my first .223 from a Model 110 chambered in 7mag, and I'm happy to dive in, and learn from the members here!

My experience with Savage Firearms is extremely limited, this is my first Savage rifle to own, at the incessant urging of my father in law. But, my experience with firearms isn't new. I'll list my experience below, and a little background on myself...

My first rifle was a .22 Stevens Crackshot that was passed down to me from my grandfather, and I still own it to this day, and fire it regularly. It is being passed down to my 3 year old son, and hopefully the tradition will be continued for many generations.

I've owned a Marlin Model 336 chambered in .30-30, Interarms chambered in .7Mag, Ruger American chambered in 7mm-08, Ithica chambered in .22, NEF .357Max SB-2 Ultra, Bushmaster A2, AR-15, along with many other firearms that slip my memory, & several handguns.

My enthusiasm is a happy balance between hunting big game, and target shooting. My father in law and I shoot at least once a week, minimum, and hunt/fish together.

I am a veteran of the U.S. Army, who attended Airborne school, Field Artillery school, and finally, underwent training to become a United States Army Ranger, before being stationed in, Fort Sill, OK., Fort Benning, GA., & Fort Richardson, AK.

I have extensive training with the M4-A3 carbine, which is to be expected, and I have the most experience with that weapons system, & platform.

I'm excited to be here, & look forward to learning from the veterans in this group, and expanding my novice experience into something greater!
