I am searching for a more effective .223 round for medium sized game out of my model 11VT. Research pointed me to the 60 grain Nosler partition. I picked up a box and started loading some test rounds with H335. Nosler has a 2.260 COAL. That is way too long for my chamber. I loaded up a couple startout loads at 2.200. This is the COAL I have been using for the Hornady and Sierra SPs in 55 grain, something like 10 to 20 thou off the lands.

Anyone have any experience with this bullet in .223 out of a bolt action? Bringing the COAL down this far I am concerned about pressure rise from reduced capacity.
