Hello! I just purchased my first Savage (used - 6.5-284 Norma) so my wife and I can get started on some long range shooting. While this is my first Savage, I have had the pleasure of shooting several and ALL out-shot my other rifles. I live on approx. 40 acres on the banks of the Big Horn River in Wyoming and have a 100 and 300 yard shooting range right out my back door so the wife and I get to do a little shooting as time permits. We enjoy the out of doors; hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and shooting but don't get to do as much as we'd like to. Hoping to retire in the next few years and maybe we'll get to enjoy Wyoming a little more than we presently do. I lean heavily to the right, no further explanation necessary! I have been hunting since the age of 5 (Louisiana); shooting since the age of 7; hand-loading since the age of 15 (Lee Loader);and casting bullets since about age 19 for handguns and rifles (now you know where my beer and cigarette money went!). I moved to Wyoming in 1985 and married a Wyoming girl in 1991 who has the same interests as myself. Collectively, we have 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way. - memtb
