I have been going crazy with my 260, upgrading everything I can. Last thing I did to it was an atlas bipod. I want to mount it to my Boyds VT stock, Since it had two sling attachment studs I decided to just screw the rail for the bipod on with those. The swivel screws are wood screws and have a very course wood thread on them. They also don't go deep enough to give me a a real secure mount for the rail.

I have two courses of action here:

  1. Get longer thread wood screws that will bite a little better into the wood.
  2. Drill the holes out and install machine screws with washers and nuts on the inside.

What do you think on this?
