I was able to do the trigger mod for free with a screw i had on hand and a spring from a pen. Was the exact same length as the stock spring and less than half as strong so i didn't mess with cutting it any. I also didn't mess with polishing the trigger/sear. Got her put back together and took to the range today. Works great. I wasn't able to best my previous top grouping- but it is much easier to shoot consistently smaller groups now- 1 inch on down to sub .5 inch on occasion.

But now I have the bolt cocking issue mentioned on this site. I tried to take the bolt apart but it will not budge. I even put a vice-grip on the allen wrench and nothing. After re-reading the thread on this issue, I think I am better off to send it in to Savage and get it fixed right and proper anyways. I will be giving them a call on Monday- hopefully i can just send the bolt in as someone else on here did.
