    112 BVSS Front Sling Swivel

I have a nice wooded stock, but the front swivel is drilled and uses a wood screw thread. I would love to put something in there that has a machine thread, are there any commercial adapters available? If so, How hard are they to install?

I have thought of inletting from above and seating a nut with the right thread size..any thoughts on that? Will it hold the torque from a bipod?

I've had a harris bi pod on my 112BVSS since the late 90's, and not a problem yet..... just to let you know. The laminated stock is tough stuff.
