short action
Does anyone have a Savage 10/110 in 6.5 PRC that can tell me if they are built on the LA or the SA?

short action
With a SAAMI OAL of 2.755 to 2.955" (presumably spec'd with a 147gr Hornady bullet) should fit a short-action with most bullets. IIRC short-action mags are around 2.92" internal so could cause you to have to seat the bullets a deeper in repeaters. From what I've ready they don't typically feed all that well from long-action magazines so it really begs for an intermediate length action.
Definitely recommend large shank only for the PRC's given the very high 65kpsi MAP.

So if Savage is making these on a short action, did they introduce a short action magnum bolt head for .532 rimmed cartridges? Or does this use the WSM bolt head and longer firing pin?

It is my understanding that it is the WSM bolthead
If one would want to convert a a non magnum(wsm) short action, there are two directions to go. Buy the factory Savage bolthead and WSM firing pin assembly, or, buy a custom bolthead from PT&G with the 7/16" lug and use your standard firing pin. Ultimately you would want to do as Jim stated and use a WSM action with the large shank and the correct bolt assembly form the factory.
There is a hack way to do it with a Savage 9/16" Short action BH and a standard pin, but it is hillbilly if you are not a machinist.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
