Howdy, Welcome aboard!
Spent a couple of years in Columbus and Starkville not too long ago. Nice area. The whole thing about lawn crawdads was an eye opener.. that and stopping for 'gaters in the middle of the road like we stop for deer here in Austin.
What the heck is a shooting house? Never heard that term while I was there.
Banning a gun will not solve what is a mental health crisis inflamed by incendiary rhetoric on social and television media. The first amendment in this case is less precious and more likely the causal factor than the second amendment.

I tried to send shooting house pic but gave up,
its a wimpy way to deer hunt, mine is 5'x5', 7' tall and about 7' off the ground, windows to shoot out of on all 4 sides. Im a retired welder, mines mostly steel, I fixed it so that its close to shooting off of a bench.
Im about 30 miles north of Columbus.
