Normal polishing of the bolt body on a felt wheel and compound will remove material but it's "minuscule" and shouldn't caused the bolt to be sloppy in the action (no more than a Savage bolt is normally sloppy).
Hi guys. I am looking to have the jeweling removed from the bolt of my 300wm bear hunter build. The reason I'm having the jeweling and savage print removed is I'm having kampfeld custom in Idaho flute the bolt. Also haveing the flutes blackend and the bolt semi polished. My question is, I'm assuming jeweling removal removes some material from the bolt. Will that material removal make the bolt slightly sloppy in the receiver and affect accuracy? Any and all comments appreciated. Thanks bobby

Or just grab another bolt from the for sale section.
