Company spokesman Tim Brandt confirmed to CBS-3 Springfield Saturday afternoon that of the 120 people who will lose their jobs in the coming weeks, 95 will be at the Westfield facility on Springdale Road.
Remington laying off 105 at the NY plant.

I believe it's a combination of gun supply has meet gun demand, some ammo still being expensive and or hard to find, and the economy is still slow.
When you flood the market with cheap product and your customer base takes advantage of said cheap product by buying multiples in quick succession (cuz they're cheap), you pretty much kill your own market demand and said demand dries up almost as quickly as it flourished.

Remington may also be due to prep/initial stages of move to Alabama.
