removing stamping on a Mcgowen barrel?

Has anyone ever tried to remove the stampings that come on a Mcgowen barrel? Ya know, the ones up buy the threading where there are 3 of them around the barrel.
I have one that is upside down with the gun put together that I would like to get rid of. Then I wanna leave the others on there cause one is hidden and the other lines up correctly.

I know that I need to polish it out(probably with a polishing wheel on my dremel) but just didnt know how hard it was to get off there.

Why not just call them and ask what method they use to apply it?

My McGowens look like they are laser etched rather than stamped.

The older ones were etched/engraved, but in the past couple years they started what looks like a stamping or something.

because it was 7pm here when I posted the question and they were closed. So I thought I'd ask to see if anyone has done it. I'll call them today most likely, or just give it a whirl with my dremel ::)

Both of mine were made in 2010. I know they are not stamped though.

I blasted a barrel before Duracoating and it came right off.

The barrel I have is an 8 twist .243 and shoots the 115gr DTACs very well at just over 3,000 fps (5/8" for 5 shots, but that likely my limit as the shooter). AMaxs fly good too, but I've had problems with pushing them too hard. I am plenty happy with the barrel.

I bought it from the classifieds and got screwed by the user named NefariousD (Dave Mills in AZ). I was also supposed to receive 2 boxes of 107 SMKs, set of dies, and some brass, but he never sent them and won't return messages or e-mails. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
