    New barrel, wrong threads?

I just ordered a new barrel for my 110C and the threads appear to be different. The thread pitch is the same, but the threads on my original barrel measure out to 1.050 inches, and the new one at 1.063 or so. (Best I can do with calipers.) The company I emailed said there may be a slight difference in older actions, but I've never heard of such a thing. Just the difference between large and small shanks. Any help?

    Re: New barrel, wrong threads?

I had the same issue with a new barrel for my 1985 donor gun. It was just a tad to fat, but running emery cloth over the threads trimmed it right down and it screwed in perfectly. Thats what I was hearing also, old action vs newer actions so most barrel makers turn them a tad on the taller size.
The only other way is to have it re-cut with the right sized thread die.

I did some careful measuring and decided to go with your suggestion. After knocking down the peaks of the threads with emery cloth, it fits perfect. Thanks for the tip.
