As far as I know the stocks will remain the same, only the bottom metal is different.
I read on here recently, can't relocate the threat, that Savage was soon to release a redesign of their DBM rifles. Basically they are redesigning the stock to accept AICS mags without new bottom metal or further modification required by the user.
What I can't remember is when they were suppose to be released. My local go-to gun store says none of his distributers have a Model 11 FCNS in stock at this time which seems weird. Wondering if I should order one through Buds who does have them in stock, or wait a month for the reconfigured version to be available and support my local store by ordering through him.
Either way, the ability to accept AICS mags would supposedly be an easy retrofit for current models, and isn't a must have feature for me regardless, but if it's right around the corner, why not...
Basically, I wanna know if the release of this new model is immanent or if I should go ahead and place an order on a current gen 11 FCNS.
Thanks,
Dan

Supposed to officially debut @ the NRA Annual Meeting next week in Pittsburgh.
When the guns with the new mags will be in the pipeline to your distributor... dunno.
When they will start making the pieces available for a retrofit kit... sometime after they catch up with the demand for whole rifles.

is the thread
Any word on if these are going to be both SA and LA designs?
I'm guessing it would be similar to the one on this rifle.

They would have more a market for short action I'm sure, but i'm hoping its for both.
