I will take some pictures later.

The thing I need help with is a bipod. I will be isit this gun for yotes so I would love to not be too low to ground. But I don't have the Harris budget.thanks for the input. I will also be painting the stock eventually.

thats a nice rifle, the axis series has great accuracy from the factory, but there arent too many after market parts for it yet, at least no where near the availability of the savage model 10-16 series.

i use a UTG bipod on mine, you cant beat the affordability of it and it is very sturdy and you can pan with it too, which you dont really find with bipods for this price:

beware though, some people with model 10's have had trouble installing this, the swivel stud on the rifle is too low for the adapter, some people sand down the adapter, but i took an alternate route, i took apart the gun and got to the nut that holds the swivel stud in place, and i loosened it a bit to make the stud stick out more, problem solved!

Another vote for the Caldwell. It fit fine on my .270 Edge and still let me have a sling (but uncomfortable to carry!). It is known as the "poor man's Harris", and allows some pivot and plenty of height adjustment. I decided I like shooting sticks better, so gave it to my son for his '06.

Ya I got the utg because it pans so I don't have to pick up the rifle. It was also a great price. We will see when it comes in
